 EUROPEAN ART 2009
"East / West - 20 years later "

On  the Day Of Slavonic Alphabet, Bulgarian Enlightenment and Culture - May 24th, at the “Art Center Ilindentci " happened  the 12th consecutive presentation of Bulgarian  and foreign artists. The event was initiated and realized by the "Art Center Ilindentci” Foundation with the support of the Minister of European Affairs  Gergana Passy,  Municipality Strumiani, Union of Bulgarian artists, Blagoevgrad territorial cadastre and others.
Among the non-traditional environment of the constructions in The “Marble town of Arts” their works  arranged  the Bulgarian participants Angel Stanev, Annie Pokrovnishka, Delia Chausheva, Nina Ruseva and Gabriele Berger from  Austria, Georgiana  Cosma from Romania, David Heywood  from Great Britain and Stefan Bohnenberger  from Germany.
At  this  international event presents the  patron of the project "East-West - 20 years later” The Minister of European Affairs Gergana Passy, The Ambassadors in Bulgaria of Czech Republic - Martin Klepetko, of Sweden - Paul Beijer, of Belgium - Marc Mihielsen, The Mayor of Municipality of Strumiani Valentin Chilikov, Chairman of The Union of Bulgarian Artists Ivaylo Mirchev, diplomats, intellectuals and many guests from  the village of Ilindentci and the country. Symbolically marked the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the beginning of democratic processes in the former socialist bloc.
Under the sounds  of “the singing stones” from the stone columns of the sculptor Ivan Rusev processed by the composer Nikolai Madjarov and captivating performance of folk group  "Lyulintsi" from Sofia, the officials and guests with undisguised interest considered The Art exhibition located in this unusual environment.

BULGARIAN EXHIBITION IN KOBLENZ

In the Ludwig museum, Koblenz, Germany on 06.09.2008 was opened the exhibition "Actual scene Bulgaria", widely presenting contemporary bulgarian art. Among the names of artists showing their works are: Svetlin Rusev, Stanislav Pamukchiev, Ivan Rusev, Emil Popov, Elena Panayotova, Ivaylo Mirchev, Todor Panayotov, Milko Bozhkov, Bozhidar Boyadzhiev, Svetozara Alexandrova, Lyuben Genov, Pepa Hristova, Ventsislav Zankov, etc. The exhibition will continue until 02.11.2008 and  will be exposed more than 200 bulgarian works.

  YEARS ART AT THE "SCULPTURAL PARK ILINDENTCI"

At 19th of July 2008 in Art center Ilindenci was the Opening of The 11th  Annual  Sculpture Symposium, provided by Art center Ilindentci Foundation. For the 3th time among the sculptural constructions of “The Marble town of Arts” to the sculpture Ivan Rusev, their paintings set the eminent Bulgarian artists – Ivailo Mirchev, Dimitar Cholakov and Ivan Milev.Maria Ruseva and the special guest of this edition the sculpture George Chapkanov. At the gallery of Art center her paintings shows the mother of the sculpture Ivan Rusev, the artist

  Under the hot July sun, at the sculptural object "The Forum", between the natural scenery, the spectators enjoyed the mastery performance of the duo for authentic bulgarian folklore from the town of Sandanski  “Leb i vino” – Elena and Jane Kamenarovi.
